05.02.2009 −
The meeting on the 3rd and 4th February 2009 in Odense, Denmark, was the start for the Interreg 4A-project "Cross-border collaboration on Population Breast Health in South Demnark and Schleswig-Holstein".
The Interreg project "Cross-border collaboration on Population Breast Health" was launched on 3 February with the inaugural meeting of the Project Steering Committee in Odense. The Region Syddanmark and the leadpartner, the University of Applied Sciences Flensburg, had invited the coordinators of the work packages.
Besides the mutual acquaintance the strategic objectives and planned outcomes of the project were on the agenda. During the evening meeting with a typical danish meal the participants made personal contacts - an important factor for the success of the project.
All participants were present at the kick-off meeting the next morning. There was a brief presentation of the project objectives and the individual work packages to give the participants an overview of the entire project. After that the working groups specified the work packages.
"The meeting was good for the people involved, so they have a clear insight into the contents of the project and their role in the project. This is particularly important for cross-border cooperation essential to get fast in the technical discussion", valued the Danish project manager Claus Toftgaard the meeting.
