Pilot run ahead

On 13th January 2010, Danish and German partners met in Flensburg at the 2nd Clinicians meeting to discuss the foreseen pilot run within screening and medical cooperation beyond.
One of the central project objectives is to verify in a pilot run the feasibility of the cross-border exchange of medical services of radiologists in the field of screening. Thus, it is foreseen to send 100 screening pictures from Odense Universitetshospital (OUH) to the participating German radiologists in Kiel and Flensburg. The participants of the meeting discussed the different possibilities for secure transfer of patient data and diagnosis results.
The participants also discussed further fields of cross-border medical cooperation beyond screening e.g. in the treatments by radiotherapy as well as after treatment.
The third Clinicians meeting is scheduled for Friday, 12 March 2010, from 10h00 to 14h00 at the Diako Hospital in Flensburg. The partners will have the possibility for a first exchange of experiences regarding the results of the pilot run.
