The overall objective is to provide a basis for the development of a "cross-border cancer center" in order to exchange cross-border medical services in the field of prevention and treatment of breast cancer in Southern Denmark and northern Schleswig-Holstein

Objectives

• We establish a Danish-German network of medical, technical and administrative experts, patient organisations and further stakeholders.
• We achieve a mutual understanding of the breast cancer programmes in South Denmark and Schleswig-Holstein.
• We develop a medical, technical, and organisational concept for a "Cross-border Breast Cancer Centre" as well as a long-term benchmark of the breast cancer programmes.
• We verify in a pilot run the feasibility of the cross-border exchange of medical services of radiologists in the field of curative mamma-diagnosis.
• We prepare the large-scale implementation of the "Cross-border Breast Cancer Centre" for the regular cross-border exchange of medical services in the field of the mamma-diagnosis.
